Description
Since I notice much interest in this photo I'd like to say sometings about it.
This photo is made on a beach on the Canary Island, La Gomera. I also slept there and I had a view on these rocks for several days but the image was in my head the first time I saw it.
I've been standing there for 2 hours and a half, my friends hungry and waiting for me while I was fascinated and unaware.. (sorry!)
Time feels for me the subject about this photo. And also timing, as I observed the sea for such a long time. It has it's types of behaving and I wanted the perfect moment, the wave at the background and especially the dripping water in the foreground. After a while, with all the sound and movement you get in another state of thinking, I must say.
Ofcourse, you can never predict the sea its movements completely. I almost had my camera been overwhelmed by the water 2 times (just remember to pull the strap of the camera!).
The overall image to me is a way of remembering the beauty of that beach, that island. And the infinite view I had on the sea, like in the night the infinite stars and in the day the infinite smiles from the people there.
Thank you for looking!
